Product range rotary die-cutting & creasing tools: segmented or solid?
Converting Excellence´s rotary die-cutting & creasing tools are either segmented or made from solid steel. The choice is dependent firstly on the carton design. Secondly on the tool width, but also on the lifetime needed. Finally it depends on your budget. Our premium quality segmented tools are for continuous record-breaking production. Alternatively, our “value” solid tools are for start-up quantities, trials and short runs.
Quality European materials
For a start, we use identical materials as our European competition for our rotary die-cutting & creasing, embossing & punching tools. Likewise, we manufacture our cutting segments with PM steel (Powder Metallurgy) made by renowned European steel manufacturers. Furthermore, we use the same European bearings in assembly. We apply the same PVD & DLC coatings. To clarify, these coatings further improve the lifetime of our tooling. Converting Excellence´s rotary tools can be supplied with high precision bearing blocks or tool frames. In short, these are fully compatible with Bobst, ATN, Cerutti or Komori printing presses. They are designed for high-speed running. Our bearing blocks for Bobst gravure and flexo presses can be supplied with normal “mushrooms” for tool levelling. Alternatively, with a special wedge system and consequently offering even higher stability. Curious? Ask us for the details!
